This project includes pedestrian, bicycle and vehicular circulation improvements throughout the outer campus. Along with the increased mobility in the parking lots, significant improvements help balance utilization campuswide, eliminating the need to travel around the Loop Road by as much as 25 percent.

The L-7 Building project will provide new dedicated electrical feeds for both the data center and classrooms. It will replace the HVAC for the entire building, providing higher efficiency units as well as redundant cooling for the data center. A new Intermediate distribution frame room will be dedicated to the classrooms. The exterior of the building will be renovated with a new single-ply roof, new waterproofing for the tile roofs, new paint, new stucco, and new doors. ADA accessibility to the building will be updated. A new fire alarm system will be installed. The interior of the classrooms will be refreshed with new carpet, paint, wall covering, ceiling tiles, lighting, and upgraded AV components.

This project will include improved shelving, a voluntary structural upgrade for seismic safety, reworking of interior spaces to add group study rooms for enhanced student collaboration opportunities, and updating classrooms for multimedia/smart classroom capabilities. Revised interior spaces will include new circulation and reference desks, reference and periodical shelving stacks, main entrance modification to reduce wind-tunnel effect, addition of a copy room and lounge area, and modifications to staff offices, break rooms, and conference rooms. This project also will include improvements of interior and exterior finishes, modification of the north side patio, and better ADA access to the main entry.

This project includes the demolition of structures at the decommissioned Onizuka Air Force Station in Sunnyvale, CA and construction of a new education center. The Foothill College Sunnyvale Center will offer year-round programs and services, providing a hub for workforce training in new and emerging technologies in the Bay Area at the gateway to one of Silicon Valley's premier technology parks.
